Electrical safety rules

JSC «East Kazakhstan regional energy company» drew attention to the resurgence of shock among the population. The main reason lies in the incidents of non-compliance with data security measures in the vicinity of overhead power lines and electrical equipment.

A characteristic feature of the electric current is its hidden danger: electricity cannot see, hear, feel its smell. That is why the approach to electrical installations, despite fences, warning signs and, in some cases, people have feared.

According to the rules of electrical safety is strictly forbidden:

- erect any buildings, store firewood, hay, igniting fires, fly kites under the wires overhead lines;

- fishing in the buffer zone of the overhead lines;

- play around and on the territory of electrical substations, transformer points, under the wires overhead lines;

- climbing on supports of overhead lines, insulators, sketching out the wires on any items or wire;

- approach to oborvannym wire at a distance closer than 8 meters;

- visit to the premises of the substations, switchgear, transformer points;

- climb trees if beside them runs an air line;

- get items that fall into the territory of electrical substations;

- approaching the provisšim wire of overhead lines;

- to repair electrical appliances and home electrical wiring;

- overload the household network-this causes a short circuit and fire;

- touch the appliance if you have wet hands;

- touch the Bared wire;

- as the fuses used not calibrated blowguns (bugs);

- use circuit breakers with the inflated nominal current.

Particular attention should be paid to warning posters on electrical equipment and supports air lines: «Caution-high voltage!»  yellow triangle with a zipper and a sign «do not MIND-KILL».

When breakage of wires overhead line formed the so-called step voltage, it is therefore prohibited to approach the site closures of less than 8 metres. If the wire spotted too late, should depart from it without lifting your feet off the ground and without creating a gap between the stops.

After strong winds, caused the bluffs on air power lines, parents should not let children play outside unsupervised until accidents.

In case of electric shock as soon as possible notify the electricity grid Manager by phone specified on the WTC or the doors of substations, as well as in an ambulance on the phone or 103 EI phone 112.
